The celebrity coin meta continues as Australian rapper and model Iggy Azalea is the latest to launch on Solana.

In the wake of yet another scam pulled off by Sahil Arora, Azalea launched her token MOTHER to millions of followers and fans yesterday afternoon. But before she could get her token live, Sahil had already swindled thousands of buyers with his own IGGY launch amidst confusion around whether it held ties to Iggy herself.

Earlier in the day, when asked if she had been in contact with Sahil, Iggy held back no punches in answering the question, saying “I was in contact enough to smell he’s a bitch.” Despite the warning shot, the fake IGGY token captured the attention (and wallets) of spectators, reaching a market cap as high as $4M before Azalea's real token launched and put any doubt to rest.

Following the launch of Azalea's real token, Sahil proudly posted "another celeb on Solana because of me." He continued to tout his influence in the space, but insisted "I'm not an influencer, I'm highly influential." Others prefer to call him a scammer, calling for his arrest. This was not the first time Sahil used his influence for personal gain and we're sure it won't be the last.

Following Azalea's participation this morning on Twitter Spaces, supporters claim she is "based" and "here to stay." They say she can onboard normies into the space with a trustworthy celebrity coin, believing she is committed to doing this right. She has since been chatting it up with the Crypto Twitter community, saying “Let me rock. This is me and my little brother’s shit. I only have three percent. I’m in the trenches.”

Only time will tell how Mother plays out and the effects it has on crypto, but after listening to Iggy there's no denying she is miles ahead of Jenner and many other celebrities in her understanding of the space.
